My musing about the power of wind brings me to look at how we are captives of the breath. Subject to the power of the wind that we create, that created us.
According to my understanding of this passage Wind Power created everything, originating from the Breath of God. We are subject to breath, we cannot harness it more than deep or shallow inhalations and exhalations. An average human can only hold their breath comfortably for about 30 seconds. In certain circumstances it can be held it for up to two maybe three minutes. The Guinness World Record is at 19 to 22 minutes, but that's an incredible feat! Especially since on average at about 5 minutes without oxygen, humans become brain damaged or brain dead. Other bodily functions also begin to break down from this oxygen debt. So let's say humans on average have 3 minutes of control over personal Wind Power.
Wind Power in nature is staggering, nothing can harness the wind of cyclone, tornado, or hurricane. So it seems wind has its power over and within Humanity.
Yogis believe that our Wind Power is our vital life-force energy-
And that it is harnessed through the practice of Pranayama.(which is probably how the Guinness records are achieved-it ain't from drinking Guinness :)
Prana is of the east west north and south. Prana created life and without its existence there is no existence.
Prana-vital life force energy!
This is our personal Wind Power, harness it.
Pranayama is key.
