Ashtanga or Raja yoga is the eight limb path of yoga. We've gone through the Yamas(restraints) and Niyamas (observances)and here we are at the Asanas the third limb.
Asana means steady pose. It requires more than merely doing a yoga pose for it to become an Asana.
Focus, concentration, deep breathing and meditation are all integral parts of obtaining a Yoga Asana.
As it is said 'practice makes perfect'.
With that, I invite you to stick around while in your yoga pose, let the mind quiet down as you observe how it feels and by all means make it feel comfortable.
Slight adjustments can make a world of difference.
Then when you've arrived: surrender into the pose, then just focus on your breath and wait...
Waiting not merely for the Asana to show itself to you, but for you to show the Asana `You´.
